Delete your account.

You can permanently delete your GeistHaus account at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed. Three ways, all equivalent:

• In the app — open Account → Delete my account in the iOS, macOS, or Android app.
• On the web — sign in at geist.haus/app, then Settings → Delete my account.
• By email — write to wes@geist.haus from the email address on your account and ask for deletion. A person reads every message.

What deletion removes

Deletion removes your account, all journal entries and conversations, and all derived reflections and patterns. This is account-wide and permanent. We cannot recover deleted content.

Deletion completes in our production systems within 30 days. Encrypted database backups are retained no longer than 35 days on a rolling basis, and no restored backup will reintroduce deleted content. Session logs are deleted as part of account deletion.

The one exception is records we are legally required to keep — financial transaction records retained under tax and accounting law. These contain payment history, never your writing.
