About
A quiet place to be listened to.
Most of the patterns that shape our relationships are invisible to us precisely because we are inside them. We notice the argument, not the role we always take in it. GeistHaus started from a simple wish: a place to think out loud, with something that listens closely enough to reflect those patterns back.
What it does
You write or talk about whatever is on your mind. GeistHaus responds the way a good listener would — curious, unhurried, never handing out advice. Quietly, across many entries, it learns to recognize the dynamics that recur and offers them back as tentative observations. You decide whether each one fits.
What it isn't
GeistHaus is not therapy, and it is not a crisis service. It can't diagnose anything or stand in for a person who knows you. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out to a local emergency number or a crisis line — in the US you can call or text 988 (see our safety page). GeistHaus is a companion for reflection, not a substitute for care.
Who it's for
For people who already keep a journal, or wish they did, and who are curious about the shapes their relationships take. It asks nothing of you but honesty, on the days you have it.
