added a new page to the site today. this is where my games will be linked to going forward. my game is still on itch.io so the link goes there, but if it is taken down i will host it elsewhere. also i added a widget for the toxic yuri vn jam web ring. you can find links to the other sites on there or press the random button and see where it takes you. fun!
nothing huge. made the home page look a bit nicer. changed the contents from the "i just learned how to anything at all with html" sort of look it's an image look it's a link look a list type page to. it actually tells you about the other content on the site. i think that's really nice. though i do still wanna make things look a bit nicer. i will figure that out eventually. the about page i put a big spoiler/readmore thing to contain a big derailing in the bit about learning japanese. oops i got carried away (: also i added a bit about rhythm games / sdvx to the about me page. did not like that it ended on "a thing i dislike" and so i moved stuff around now i talk about a the thing i like yay. anyways next time for sure i will start adding more images and colors on these pages. surely... but anyways that's my update for this week i guess lol. i've also been playing lots of webfishing. that game is pretty neat. hope they keep adding to it bc there's some changes i would like to see. it's a fun idle with friends experience. much like fishing. also i'll be playing ys x! i've started the demo and the game releases tomorrow on steam so i'm excited for that. so far i really like dogi. i really like the plot. i'm excited to get into the cool movement stuff and combat mechanics. and as always the music is great.
i added a section on the bingo sheet page for writing about the games that have been completed. they aren't sorted in any way and they also aren't complete yet but it's there. i thought it would be cool to have a thing just pop a little box out from the square itself, and maybe i will get that sorted in the future, but currently i'm happy to have something that works lol. there's probably an element that isn't details that will do it but it's fine! it's fine! anyways you can now read what i thought of two worlds ii castle defense and super junkoid on somewhere that isn't my rss feed, if you want. you can read it again! i wrote it again!
liked super junkoid a lot! i was expecting it to be junko touhou. but the junko in this game is also cool. big fan of the story and world. i like the quality-of-life features they've added to super metroid such as a map that can show where items and doors between zones are, easier travel between zones, easier wall jumps / space jumps. also liked the unique things they added that i won't spoil for anyone! recommend anyone who likes super metroid at all give it a go. be aware of content warnings for blood gore hanging bodies.
i thought it had been longer since i updated anything on here but it's not been too long really. anyways after cohost becoming read-only (i am sad about this) and still not logging into twitter dot com (i am happy about this but i will need to log back in specifically to find other places to follow artists and such) i don't really have a way to like. really quick just throw a post out there. sometimes i wanna just write something small and silly and throw it out there. for fun. there's no numbers on any posts or anything on my site so it really is just i am putting it there bc i want to whether or not anybody else looks at it or finds it amusing or helpful or anything. the inaugural post i've added as a placeholder is holding, so much place. if it were like a proper page i would put effort into editing and what not (see yuri recs) i would not leave it so messy but i think it's fun to write that way and just leave it. welcome to my world for as long as you can stand to look at it lol. so yeah i have a place on my site now for posting. like the kind of stuff i used to put on twitter without thinking about it much if at all.
after spending over an hour looking at things and getting increasingly frustrated i have decided to log out of all twitter accounts at least for a while. but i will be making moves to follow artists and friends and anything else good i find on twitter - and taking them someplace else. i just really need to be away from there. it's so bad for me. i haven't felt this bad since before i deleted the app from my phone years ago. i need to do something. also i know that the date on the link is wrong. it doesn't matter. i mean it does. i should fix it. but doing so right now would mean (and i know i just spent all this time writing the whole thing and linking to it in the blog posts list which has been place holder all along and was for some reason the entire table was a link to a post that i never made) spending time. anyways i fixed it. i hope one day we can all have zero reason to use twitter dot com.
