fujofans updates

8 new sites have been listed, plus a couple of updates to existing listings. Welcome new friends from Citrus Con!

I’ve also added yaoiverse as a yaoi-related webring to the resources section.

It’s been 4 months. 14+ new sites added!

I have caught up to my entire queue of email edits! Which means a lot of people have changed their urls and buttons. Quite a bit of people have their own domain name now, rather than relying on neocities or nekoweb. Cool!

The top bar is more compact now on desktop, so you can view the theme switcher and gif freezer easily. I’m not completely satisfied with it, but this is acceptable while I brainstorm how to make it look better to my eyes.

We also have two new testimonials from an anon, and from Lockheart Love.

OKAY!! I finally responded to all Fujofans emails, and added new buttons and sites to the web listing. Also slimmed the menu to accommodate the theme changer + gif freezer.

We also got a generous donation of yuri -related buttons from Frankie, please look at them, use them, and thank them!

Also, added a link to the fandom webring to the resources page! They left a comment on the Guestbook asking to affiliate, and I think a lot of people would be interested in joining them.

This gives me hope I can migrate to a SSG later. I think I just need to figure out what a JSON is and how do I display and style that on a page. Lmao.

What if I haven’t been added in the next update??

“99% of the time your site hasn’t been added is because you filled something out wrong, or I missed you because I have ADHD. You could try filling the form out again. Make sure the URL you submit is correct and doesn’t just go to your neocities dashboard! Make sure the email you entered is correct so I can message you if you are missing something on your form!

The other 1% of the time I haven’t added sites, is cuz your submission goes against one or more of the restrictions I’ve outlined. Oopsie daisy!

Is this a webring or fanlisting? What’s the difference?

“This is a fanlisting, or site directory. This is not a webring. Webrings use scripts that require members to link to the main site and/or members for the shared navigation bar to work properly.

I don’t want to bother with making sure everyone is properly linked. I always see broken webrings on people’s sites. So I just made a simple listing. You can make your own webring/listing too!

I am not listed on that one big fanlistings website cuz I don’t want to follow a bunch of rules like "update every 2 months” or “ask for people’s location”. Decentralization, people!!!“

Made a new “sylveon” color theme!

Did some color-coding for alternating listings, as well as using a script to play and stop gifs. Gifs are now frozen by default.

The in-between section titles are really big now so people know there are different sections for personal sites vs work vs stores:

I finally pushed 32 new sites to the listing!

Last update was April 21st, 2024, for reference lol. So that’s nearly a year’s worth of submissions.

Wording updates to Fujofans!

• I clarified the focus of the site: “This page is a community resource, listing the websites of 腐 enjoyers: BL, gay manga, yaoi, yuri, and queer art in general. The websites are not necessarily themed around yaoi, but you can rest assured that the admins are fujo-positive!”.
• Hopefully the above added sentence will encourage people to submit their sites even if their site is not yaoi-focused. I mean, my site is on there and it’s got a whole mess of everything :P
• Added clarification on Fujofan’s mirrors: “There are two mirrors of this site: fujofans.scumsuck.com, and fujofans.neocities.org. ”

The application form is also a little different. - Now you HAVE to submit your fave ships/gay media! I mean, why apply to a fujo listing if you don’t like ships or gay art? - Accessibility warnings for your site are now in its own section, so please please please tell me if your site has flashing gifs or autoplay so I can prepare my anus!

I’ve also added some logos to the resources section, and updated SOME of the dead links to Futekiya with an archive.org mirror. I hope to transfer the glossary to its own section soon, and update all of the dead Futekiya links.

Post-Citrus Con glow! We saw a lot of fujofriends at the convention, and we have 3 new fujofriends to add to our listing:

I’ve also adjusted the sign-up form a bit. There’s a new email for fujofans on protonmail.com. I won’t be emailing people when I put their site on the directory. Keep up with the RSS feed for that!
