Today was spent organizing some things around the house. I was able to get this Old Gate sanded down and cleaned up for an eventual coffee Table, for now it will suffice standing on concrete blocks. Tommorow will be relocating a compost mound and then burying it to raise the area east of the trench. Eventually the area where raised garden beds will be built for planting vegetables. This may take some time as I have to take apart quite a few Pallets.
2018 October 23rd***Update***
What I thought would be a quick trench dig has turned into something larger. I had to create a slope from the patio to the back corner of the yard. This “Stream” will serve as a water source to the vegetation I’m planning to grow. I’m optimistic that we can find a way to use solar power to create a water current that circulates the water.
Last week we received heavy rains and it made it became clear where the water was settling in the back yard. I also have an excess of river rock to remove from the border of the pool. So to allow a set place for water to run to during rain, and also create a physical barrier so i can plant my raised garden beds,i’ve begun lining out a trench. What it will become from here, we will see!
The last few days have been about organization and cleanup. I officially have the main outline of the back yard in tact. I’ just decided to add a small “Stream” down the center of the yard to take on rain when it comes and hopefully, we can figure out a way to make some sort of water feature.
Once the outline of the stream is set I’ll be able to determine the positioning of the raised garden beds. The result needs to blend well and not take up too much space near the pool to have some area for sun bathing/sun exposure.
Hello! So this is officially my first real post. I’m not really too sure what i’m doing, but i imagine it wont take too long to figure this thing out I’ll eventually have the site set up and organized. So if you start reading at this point, bare with me.
I have had this site up in my imagination for quite some time. My intent was to begin tracking and charting the implementation of NLP(Nuero Linguistic Programming) and some other concepts that are often written about. Sort of like an on-going trial where I become my own guinea pig chasing and experimenting on something that strikes the curiosity.
