Die Wahl des präferierten Editors zählt zu den am hitzigsten diskutierten Themen im Internet. Insbesondere die Diskussionen rund um vim und Emacs sind nicht zuletzt für ihren Unterhaltungsfaktor bekannt. Für die einen ist es Emacs - für die anderen die wohl schönste Lisp-Runtime der Welt. Zeit, etwas Licht ins Dunkel zu bringen und die Vorteile des sagenumwobenen Programms zu bewerten.
