Want videos and weekly digests that cover the state of indie web?

The web is changing. (Nobody denies that, of course.) The biggest changes revolve around money. (And that, as well, is not exactly surprising.) The impetus of these changes is a shift in perspective by major web companies and media sources—a perspective that is not yet shared by their audiences.
I have thoughts on the recent talk about a small, personal web revival - and not all of them coherent.
some thoughts on the state of modern web
A little while back (six months ago) I wrote about how I made a random page featuring my dad’s hats and how I want to make more evergreen content and share more photos and visual things here. Hyperlinks deserve more recognition in light of all the ways their value has been sidelined and denied. From deliberate corporate link suppression to link-shy site cultures on social media to the dysfunctional state of deteriorating search engines, the web has changed a lot over the years since the days of early link-based web logs, and a familiarity with the importance of links can no longer be taken for granted. It needs to be expressly advocated. To that end, I present a link compilation in praise of links.

Sharing things I learned something interesting from. Unlike my curated and maintained links, these are more more one and done resources.
