Ages ago, when I was still a student, I taught myself Ruby on Rails for my senior thesis and fell in love. Fifteen years later, and I’ve used Rails at every job I’ve ever held in the tech industry. Fifteen years, and I still love Rails! But there’s something rotten at its core, and we share a name.

Framework under fire for Omarchy/DHH/Hyprland support?

You might’ve noticed Framework, the laptop manufacturer, embroiled in a controversy as of now. The Discord server is on lockdown because the volunteer moderation team has gone on hiatus, and the Framework forum post about the controversy has been gaining unsightly amounts of steam from people disappointed at actions taken by Framework.

Don’t Need Money by Poorly Drawn Lines Some “AI” related stuff today, with the idea of prompt engineering being requirements engineering and how these new tools can enable non-programmers to get closer to the code. I also liked how much Wil Wheaton likes a new metro line. Leadership RTO mandates lead to us questioning leaders - it was never about RTO. Engineering Prompt Engineering Is Requirements Engineering - I don’t think we were ever good at requirements, how are we going to be good with prompts?
