First of all, sorry for the disappearance all this months. Real life is busy sometimes. But i was able to dedicate some time for myself 😊
I have one theme in progress abandoned and it was like 80% finished, I think I’ll make my comeback finishing that.
Also I’m going to answer all the DMs, sorry for the late late response to the oldest messages ;n; maybe the answer is no longer necessary, but just in case.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who still uses my themes, I really appreciate it :3
A responsive, all-in-one theme that includes the option to hide the about, navigation, muses, following, and recently liked sections!
Features:
Day and night toggle button that will stay in the selected mode until it is turned off. A dark mode option is available for those who prefer a dark color scheme on their blogs instead of the default light colors. The day and night mode button will also change according to the scheme you are using.
6 sections are included in the theme (blog posts, an about me, navigation links, muses, following, and recently liked posts).
Left or right sidebar. Both layouts are responsive on multiple screens including mobile.
You can also choose icons that you like for various elements of the theme (i.e. the menu links in the sidebar) from Tabler Icons. Please refer to the theme guide linked below for more information.
Like and reblog buttons, a search bar, an updates tab, and a custom “Not Found” page.
Welcome to Theme Searcher! Tumblr’s newest source for finding themes and pages, both free and premium. Our goal is to uplift theme creators and help people find themes to use!
This blog was not created by a theme maker, rather a user on Tumblr who wants to show their appreciation towards Tumblr theme creators.
We’re tracking #themesearcher, so tag us in your themes and we’ll reblog them.
In resume, there was an error uploading the theme to the theme garden, and the fix is not approved yet by the staff, so meanwhile please install the theme manually with the source code.
Glazed and Doodling 3x1 now have full compatibility with NPF posts! including the new audio posts. Also the hide captions option was removed from both themes.
Both themes are ready to be approved in the Theme Garden since a while, but approving times are taking a little too long than usual so if you’re experiencing problems with any of the themes please re-install them with the source code.
On Tumblr’s process of changing everything to NPF, staff has added metadata (details) to NPF audio inserts to reflect what was originally entered when it was posted. Unfortunately, they’re unstyled for now, so I wrote a plugin that mimics the appearance of Tumblr’s legacy audio player.
☆ Features:
functional play/pause buttons with customizable sizes and colors
[optional] preceding labels, e.g. “Track:” / “Artist:” / “Album”
[optional] placeholder text for empty fields, e.g. “Untitled Track”
shows album cover image if its comes with one, with customizable dimensions
IMPORTANT: See The Stars With Me, Again NPF compatibility + Changes
I added new improvements to the theme, these are already up on the Theme Garden. First of all, this improvements include full compatibility with NPF posts! including the new audio posts.
NPF photo posted with the new editor / legacy photo post.
This is how a custom audio posted with the npf editor will look like.
Also I made a few important changes:
🚫 The “Hide Captions” functionality was removed
This was a hard decision to made, but at the end this functionality was removed as is not compatible with NPF posts.
✏️ Captions for legacy posts will be shown outside de controls box.
This was a hard decision too, but it was necessary to have consistency with the new NPF posts.
New legacy post caption / old legacy post caption / new NPF photo post in the source blog.
Also remember that reblogged NPF posts will be treated as text posts, so if you reblog a NPF post it will have a backdrop. This behaviour was already in the first version of the theme.
⭐ Added an option to show a backdrop on media posts.
This was added because originally the theme was meant to have backgroundless photos, so users can upload pngs or gifs and give the impression of having the theme background as a video game background :p But with this new option you can enable a background if you want the design of the posts to have more consistency.
Show backdrop option disabled (default) / option enabled / rebbloged NPF photo post.
These are all the mayor changes that were made to the theme. The decisions were hard to take, but this was the fastest way to achieve the NPF compatibility. If I wanted to keep the theme with the original design, I would need to refactor all the theme again from scratch with the new NPF variable, and right now I don’t have the time.
Hope you all enjoy this new version of the theme and hope this changes don’t bother anyone.
If you find out something not working or a bug please tell me n.n
PS: If you don’t see the changes reflected, please reinstall the theme.
I recommend you add back the code you removed or reinstall the page again. When the page works normally, delete only the highlighted parts of the code shown in the following images:
Then the page should work as expected and the loading animation will be no longer visible.
Hi! Sorry for the late reply and thanks for reaching out.
This happens because of the new posts format (NPF posts), now all images and photoset posts are rendered as text posts. The 'hide caption' option was thought for photo and photosets, because I can't hide the caption of a text post beceause is the actual post xD But now since all the posts are text posts the functionality will not work anymore with the actual code :(
I need to think if I'll remove this functionality to avoid misunderstoods and to keep all the posts uniform, or if I'll add something to try to fix it (it requires some time).
Anyways when I decide what to do I'll post it as soon as possible.
Hi! Sorry for the late reply and thanks for using my work :D
Yeah this happens because of the new tumblr's posts format and now all the image posts are texts, so I have to add a fix to the theme to make it somehow differentiate between text posts and image posts. I hope I finish this soon but when it's done I'll post is as soon as possible.
This happens because of the new posts format (NPF posts) and now all the new image posts are text posts. The gradient was meant to display only on text posts. I'm currently working on fixing this details on my themes to make them full NPF compatible.
When it's done I'll post is ASAP.
And about the sizing, I made them display in squares to imitate the way instagram displays posts on the user's feed.
Thanks for your reaching out and for your patience.
Hi! Thanks for your words and for using my work :'D
You can achieve it by editing this line of code, find this and replace it with the number 3.
--Post-Columns: {select:Columns}
But this will override the options to have 1 and 2 columns, also you may have to resize the posts, or make the container bigger. To make the posts smaller, find the following
To make the container bigger, find the following code
.layout_blog { max-width: 1400px;
and replace max-width: with something like 1500px or 1600px.
Also as this is only CSS, and if you have some html and css knowledge, you can do this in the Custom CSS section, just copy the entire css class with the new values and it will overrwrite the previous css, this is to not altere the original code and to keep it linked to theTheme Garden, so you can get future theme updates automatically.
Hi! Thanks a lot for using my theme and thanks for notifying this.
Yes, I found out how to fix this in the code, I'll upload it on the next update of the theme garden, but meanwhile, you just have to move this find this bunch of code, and move it (cut and paste it) right before the first tag. </p><div class="npf_row"><figure class="tmblr-full" data-orig-height="134" data-orig-width="555"><img src="https://64.media.tumblr.com/9b4a7a673e423da94c7006f9d6a8ada4/11895efcaddd3611-00/s640x960/d615107d3ce50a786433b384c866375f07f8c025.png" data-orig-height="134" data-orig-width="555" srcset="https://64.media.tumblr.com/9b4a7a673e423da94c7006f9d6a8ada4/11895efcaddd3611-00/s75x75_c1/a07d49891833a883e4408a65c8b278a077c88ca8.png 75w, https://64.media.tumblr.com/9b4a7a673e423da94c7006f9d6a8ada4/11895efcaddd3611-00/s100x200/3eb1624d946a4b21450e9859c9ab5cb2c796a01d.png 100w, https://64.media.tumblr.com/9b4a7a673e423da94c7006f9d6a8ada4/11895efcaddd3611-00/s250x400/c7abaa0b353dcc4579fcb0710c3fc6e965bc2da1.png 250w, https://64.media.tumblr.com/9b4a7a673e423da94c7006f9d6a8ada4/11895efcaddd3611-00/s400x600/226fbe9a47ec7fdb3597b455394681c7a1156c92.png 400w, https://64.media.tumblr.com/9b4a7a673e423da94c7006f9d6a8ada4/11895efcaddd3611-00/s500x750/95eaeec7ffeb60aeb98e00e47e26a2511d6064dc.png 500w, https://64.media.tumblr.com/9b4a7a673e423da94c7006f9d6a8ada4/11895efcaddd3611-00/s540x810/6360aa00528d37c3487c3ed0b1344fd6c730b882.png 540w, https://64.media.tumblr.com/9b4a7a673e423da94c7006f9d6a8ada4/11895efcaddd3611-00/s640x960/d615107d3ce50a786433b384c866375f07f8c025.png 555w" sizes="(max-width: 555px) 100vw, 555px"></figure></div><p>Don't forget to wrap the moved code in <script> tags.</p><p>With this the flashing won't happen again.</p><p>Hope this helps and thanks again!</p>
Hi! Thank you for using my theme :D And sorry for the late reply.
It's a little more complicated to try to implement infinite scroll on Glazed, because you have to call some javascript functions everytime the page "loads" more posts.
I'm not planning right now to add infinite scroll by default to the theme, but you can see how I managed to do it in my "Social Media" theme, here is the code.
Hi! Make sure you have enabled the "Show Tags" option on the customization panel. You can read more about the conditionals of the theme on the customization guide.
