Season 1 – Episode 2 “Strangers in the Night”

The first design of Jason Cort’s to appeared was ALF trying on Kate’s blue dress and a white hat with a pink ribbon while stuck in the bedroom. The dress is short sleeve and would be knee length on Kate.

Thanks to the newest DVD release by Shout Factory, the bonus feature “A Look Back At ALF”, there is a rare glimpse of one of Jason Cort’s concept art.

In “Looking for Lucky”, ALF went full Risky Business. He wears a blue dress shirt and a pair of sunglasses.

It’s been a great year to be an ALF fan. Shout Studios announced a brand new DVD box set that will come out October 17. Now thanks to Ryan Reynolds, we are getting brand new ALF material! It’s not a reboot, but ALF is coming back for segments for Maximum Effort Channel.

To quote the Hollywood Reporter:

“The Maximum Effort Channel, which is available to stream on platforms like Fubo, Amazon Freevee and Tubi, has acquired the rights to the classic 1980s sitcom starring the puppet, and will weave in the new sponsored segments — which it is calling “Maximum Moments” — during the episodes. The company worked with ALF creator Paul Fusco and Shout! Studios to develop the sponsored segments.“

The sponsors ALF will cover will be Mint Mobile, HIMs, Amazon’s Ring, Fubo and MNTM. The segments will air on the channel July 29.

You can watch a batch of the segments now

Co-staring with ALF is James Dwyer, who plays Eric. Which makes you wonder, is he suppose to be Eric Tanner? (Who is the third child of the Tanner Family and didn’t come into the show until the forth season)
