Aangat Lahat in Tagalog can mean different things depending on the context. It can mean we'll lift each other up as in mutual aid, or it can mean to collectively rise up to oppressive structures.

This service is built around the concept of care and mutual aid. Since data extraction and surveillance is everywhere in our digital world, I wanted to share a server that gives free, private, and secure communications to people. We need to take care and help each other, now more than ever. Currently offering:

If you're using this service to practice the opposite of care like promoting fascism, nazism, militarism, copaganda, zionism, state nationalism, antisemitism, or contributing to the discrimination, harassment or harm against any individual or group through forms of discrimination based on gender, race, religion or sexual orientation, along with issuing statements which are racist, xenophobic, ableist or discriminatory in any other form, you will be blocked. Also, don't use this service to promote your businesses.

The server currently has the capacity for additional users. Registering is a manual process. Make sure you understand this page first, then send me a message.

This server started because I wanted to give people an alternative option from surveillance capitalists like Google and Microsoft. This is an anti-capitalist server built on the principles of mutual aid and not extraction so nothing will be sold to anyone. Here are extra privacy enhancements that I've applied to the server to improve the safety of everyone:

• Logs are only kept for 3 days and only stored in memory instead of the disk. (adapted from chatmail)
• IP addresses are removed from emails that are sent. (adapted from chatmail)
• Backups are encrypted and only retained for a month. (restic is configured to discard backups beyond 1 month)
• Emails older than 3 months are automatically deleted. (adapted from chatmail) People are free to opt out or adjust when their emails are automatically deleted.

That said, I can make mistakes, hackers can get in, and the government might decide to seize the server or serve a warrant. There are a few ways to mitigate this scenario:

• Encrypt your files on Nextcloud using Cryptomator, gocryptfs, or Hat.sh.
• Use Thunderbird and turn on encryption with your contacts.
• Use services that encrypt communications by default like Signal or Delta Chat.
• Delete emails and chats you don't need anymore.
• Use encryption as much as you can.

To use your email and calendar, simply head over to SOGo app from your dashboard. Email, calendar, and contacts are integrated into one interface, so it should be similar to Gmail or Outlook. You can use this website on both your phone and computer!

There's also an alternative email client that uses Roundcube and I like how fast and simple it is. This doesn't have calendar integration however.

I recommend you use Thunderbird on your phone (Android only) or computer (all operating systems supported). It's been well tested with this server and supports encryption. I unfortunately don't have an iPhone, but if you know of something that works well, let me know!

Otherwise, you might have to do some manual configuring by looking at this documentation. Let me know if you need any help.

Calendar should be automatically detected by some clients, but if that doesn't work, go to your calendar on SOGo and press the "…" beside the calendar's name. After that, click on the "Links to this calendar" button.

Copy the "CalDAV URL" to your app. Here's how you do it on an iPhone and use this app if you're on Android.

Note that emails are by default unencrypted which means me or a hacker or the hosting provider or the US government could have access to your messages. Because of this, I encourage you to use Thunderbird and send encrypted email to your contacts.

Even then, there's a lot of metadata leaking when it comes to email. Even with encryption, the people that you're talking to and possibly your operating system and time zone are not private.

So a better option is to use a tool like Delta Chat or Signal, and use email only for non-sensitive things.

You're welcome to move emails from your previous provider to this one. Take a look at Imapsync which will move your emails from one service (as long as it provides IMAP access) and type in the following for the destination mailbox (replace the login and password with your own ofc):

This is for all the 90s kids out there who still use IRC! Click on the IRC app on the dashboard, and you can get started. The username and password here is separate from the rest of the system, so if you don't have an account yet, send me a message to get an invite.

You can use this app on your phone or your computer, and this will keep you logged in as well even if you log out.

In your dashboard, you'll find an app called Reader. This app lets you follow blogs and podcasts that support them. Simply enter the link of the website that you'd like to follow, and it will tell you if it's compatible or not. It's great for catching up with news websites in one place!

You'll need a separate account for this service. You should've gotten an account, but if you haven't let me know and I'll make you one!

Delta Chat is a secure, private communications tool, and it's really fast to create an account (and as many accounts as you want!), and it has the same interface across all platforms. Messages are encrypted between contacts by default (in fact, unencrypted messages aren't allowed to be sent out.)

Simply download Delta Chat and go to my server to create an account! No need to ask for permission you can make as many accounts as you want.

You can share large files on this server using the Nextcloud app which you'll find on your dashboard. Here you can simply upload files. It's very similar to how Dropbox works.

If you don't want to use Nextcloud on a browser and you'd rather just have it installed on your computer or phone, take a look at the documentation on Nextcloud's website. It lists all the different ways you can access your files on different operating systems.

Now, the server has limited resources. Disk space is not free! So don't use this as your backup for your whole computer, and make sure to not upload anything fascist or oppressive as well.

If you want to encrypt files on Nextcloud I recommend you use Cryptomator with it on your phone or computer. If you're on Linux, you can use gocryptfs as well.
