@clive hi! I was sent an excellent article from you on stocks.apple.com but I can't find it on Mother Jones, which seems to be the banner on their site. I can't find a date for it, either. Is this the best URL for it if I want to share it, or is there a better one? https://stocks.apple.com/A9QGFue5VSRqlR1l2uFZf3w Thanks!
EDIT: and, they're gone! Thanks for all the responses.

Content warning:Sarcastic #uspol Fox News, you can skip this one
If Trump appoints a couple more cabinet members out of Fox News seats, maybe we can flip Fox blue!
(I dunno man. I’m trying to laugh occasionally.)
I've had this piece about Jane Jacobs and bikes open in my browser forever and I kept nibbling at it, savoring like a good slice of cake. Today I re-read it from the top and it was just what I needed. I especially love the picture of her setting off for a ride with her family, but just generally mulling over her impact and connection to this issue I think about a lot was a good thing for me today. #BikeTooter https://commonedge.org/jane-jacobs-cyclist/
"I can't believe Netflix doesn't have a bar of ‘movies you've rewatched a million times'. I don't want to keep _searching_ for Trolls. *snort*” —older daughter
Whatever effect this had, I'm glad the #Berkeley bike community showed up for this. We had a good time, got lots of cheers from the street, and now Measure FF won and Adena Ishii is in the lead for Mayor. Even if not one vote changed, having fun together is infrastructure. /cc @libbington

“a vocal ally” Fucking hell.
I called California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office at (916) 445-2841 and asked that future communications from his office on this topic mention protecting transgender people. https://www.gov.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Special_Session_Proc_Nov.pdf
This is great to see. https://mastodon.world/@Mer__edith/113465551401609333
I appreciate this, and: *even if* Democrats would get something for throwing trans Americans under the bus, that is still ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for doing so. The lesson of this election cannot be to abandon anyone to the hateful mob, no matter how large the mob. https://www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opinion/democrats-transgender-rights-harris-election-rcna179148
In mid-October, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis released "The Warriors." It took me a bit to get into it, but it's outstanding. You know what it's about? Sticking together, escaping danger, resisting false claims, making it home. You should give it a listen. 🎁🔗 https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/18/theater/lin-manuel-miranda-warriors.html?unlocked_article_code=1.Yk4.OM8L.9dyACUdU_L1y&smid=url-share
Today I’m hearing the silence of the people who had said, “If he wins I’ll have to delete my account.”
Today I’m seeing the absence of the word “transgender” in Gov. Newsom’s proclamation about resisting in California.
Today I’m noticing a pride flag no longer flying in our neighborhood.
Telling people not to feel what they're feeling is rarely a good or effective approach. Let them feel it and let them say it. Getting them to not say it doesn't make those feelings go away.
Nothing is more emblematic to me of the NY Times’ insular and ridiculous decision-making than its devotion to The Needle. I'd have supported the Times Tech Guild strike regardless, but if they've managed to keep The Needle offline today, I cannot thank them enough for their brilliant timing. https://www.nytimes.com/article/election-2024-results-needle.html
Reminder: tomorrow could be several days long, at least. Go into it prepared and be delighted if I’m wrong. https://xoxo.zone/@marcprecipice/113383042202787148
